Patrick Baldasare:

IMG_5814 smallAs President of New Peak Consulting, Patrick consults to large businesses and budding entrepreneurs across a variety of industries. Additionally, he spends his time advising entrepreneurs through a course he designed called The Entrepreneur Fitness CenterTM and is actively involved in a number of boards and charitable activities.

Patrick was previously the President and CEO of @RISK, Inc., a firm that specialized in building pattern recognition systems to predict three months in advance, which customers would become non-customers. He sold this company to a public company in 2005. Prior to forming @RISK, Inc he was the founder and CEO of The Response Center (TRC), a market research and consulting firm. Patrick grew this firm to 700 employees and ultimately took it public in 1996 as part of a roll-up IPO (NASDAQ:TLSP). TRC was subsequently purchased by the NCO Group (NASDAQ:NCOG) where Patrick was made CEO of the Market Strategy and Consulting subsidiary. In this role he grew the subsidiary to include market research, data mining and modeling, telemarketing and customer service. By the time of his departure, TRC employed almost 1000 people and had offices in New York, Chicago, Pennsylvania and Maryland.  Baldasare founded TRC in 1987, after leaving his position as president of Valley Forge Information Service (a market research division of Burlington Industries—NYSE:BUR).

Patrick holds an MBA from the State University of New York at Albany and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton. He was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the PCDC and was a 1992 and 1993 Finalist in the Inc./Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. He has been widely published in the news and professional journals that include the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Philadelphia Inquirer, Journal of Marketing, Marketing News and Quirk’s Marketing Research Review. Patrick has also been a guest speaker at the Wharton School of Business and at several national industry conferences.

John Baldasare:

John Baldasare is the Research Director at New Peak Consulting.  John is a seasoned market research and usability/human factors expert with a long track record conducting both quantitative and qualitative research for B2B and B2C companies.

In the market research arena, John has provided businesses with valid, actionable customer intelligence on customer satisfaction, product/service enhancements, brand perception, and appeal of new technologies.  For example, John implemented the first customer satisfaction benchmarking program for AT&T’s B2B transactional website.  This bi-annual feedback program enabled AT&T to identify and prioritize service enhancements and get ahead of the curve to understand the needs and areas of dissatisfaction among large enterprise business customers when ordering and managing telecommunication services.  John has also designed and implemented numerous market research studies to estimate market demand, likelihood to purchase, and usefulness of new features and services before companies invest any time and money toward development and launch.

John also has extensive experience in the customer experience arena working with various businesses to ensure their digital touch-points (e.g., websites, mobile apps, and kiosks) are easy to use and provide the information and features that customers want and need.

John has a Ph.D in cognitive psychology from the University of Connecticut.  John’s research career began at AT&T Bell Labs and continued at AT&T in a variety of senior research roles. Prior to joining New Peak Consulting, John worked as a consultant to a variety of large enterprise business, small businesses, and venture-backed startups.
